I’ve found a use for those Shakey’s paper cups that we’ve been accumulating. I’m using them to make DIY birthday hats!
This is super simple. You just need leftover paper cups, poster paint, paint brushes, glue, pompoms, garter, and a hole puncher. You can get your pompoms at National Bookstore. The garter can be bought by the yard from the notions section of some SM Department Stores.
Paint your cups with the color of your choice. Let dry. Then glue on the pompoms.
Once the glue is dry, punch holes on two side of the cup. Tie on your garter, long enough to go around your child’s head, under her chin.
And you are done. Bring out the cake, and sing happy birthday!
I hope you liked this idea, and that you start making recycled toys with your child.
