I bet that your kids have some fascination with crowns. My little girl is no different, so I’ve had to be creative with the headgear. Today’s project is a variation of our pompom hats. I’m recycling fastfood paper cups into crowns.


Just follow the instructions on the pompom hat article. This time, cut off the covered end of the cup. Finish in pointy triangles. Paint the cup white to cover the company logos on the cups. To the tips of the triangles, glue tiny cardboard stars.

Because I adore stars…


To keep the crown on top of your child’s head, get a length of garter (you can buy this from the notions sections of department stores). Tie the garter to two holes that you punch on the sides of the cup.
