Here’s another DIY idea for a recycled toy – a camera!
I made this one from a tea box, although any rectangular box will do. To the front of the box, I hot-glued a paper cup to make the lens. I also used hot glue to attach the plastic bottle cap knobs that you will find at the sides and at the top of the camera.
I save pieces of string like a grandma. I used up a piece to make the strap. I glued the ends of the string to the two bottle caps on the sides of the camera. Just to be sure, I taped it down with adhesive tape.
The best thing about this camera is that it actually gives you photos! Well, they’re really just pieces of paper on which your child draws pictures on. This go into a slit that you cut at the top of your camera. Take my word for it: Your kid will love this detail.
Mine certainly does. She loves to draw, and now she’s drawing different scenes so that she can put them inside her camera, made from a toy box this time.
Now say cheese! I hope you liked this idea, and that you start making recycled toys with your child.
