What is it?

The Decorate a Plush Activity is will enhance your child’s creativity, as he expresses himself while drawing on a cute soft toy.

Our facilitator will come to your party with blank soft toys. She’ll also bring art materials. There’ll be colored pens, glue, sparkly stuff, and fabric shapes. The facilitator will lead the kids in decorating the toys. They’ll color them. They’ll do decoupage. They can also write on them. It’s a creative and tactile experience that everybody enjoys.

Choose the shapes of your soft toys to jive with the theme of your party. You can find the plush shapes we have on this page. Or, we can custom-make them for you.

As the guests take home the toy they decorated, you already have a party giveaway. You hit two birds with one stone. Save on money, not on fun.

Testimonials

A La Pomme Party is love. Here are what moms  say about our Decorate a Plush Activity:

“It was such a great activity that everyone from young and old enjoyed. It was perfect because kids could just come and go as they wished, when they felt like it. You’ll be amazed at the level of concentration a two-year-old can have when it comes to drawing, gluing and all kinds of ‘art-ing’ as my son calls it.” – Stephanie Zubiri

“Thank you for making Amaya’s birthday memorable. The Decorate a Plush was a hit” – Emilie Ann Gozo

“This is a fantastic, creative, and enjoyable way to keep the kids entertained.” –Amanda Griffin-Jacob

“What a great way to keep the kids entertained at parties. I recommend this to anyone wanting to create a unique party experience for their kids and their kids’ friends.” – Laura Sarmiento

How did it begin?

The Decorate a Plush Activity is the invention of La Pomme founder Apol Massebieau. A working mom living in France, she had to figure out how to keep her daughter Lilou occupied so she could get work done!

Of course drawing was always a hit. Drawing on fabric turned out better. Drawing on a stuffed fabric toy was the best. Apol is very handy with a sewing machine, and she made dolls for Lilou out of coarse white canvas. Then she’d give Lilou paints and pens, along with small pieces of fabric. Decorating the dolls kept Lilou occupied for long stretches of time.

When the family came back to the Philippines in 2013, Apol continued the practice of having kids draw on stuffed toys. This time, not just with Lilou. She also had all the kids who were visiting La Pomme, the toy shop she opened, first in Makati and then in Alabang.
